In 2021, China's tea export remained stable, the export volume increased significantly, and the volume and price hit a record high. According to China Customs data, from January to December 2021, China's total tea exports were 369,400 tons, an increase of 20,500 tons over 2020, an increase of 5.89%; the total export volume was 2.299 billion US dollars, an increase of 261 million US dollars over 2020, an increase of 5.89% over the previous year. 12.82%; the average export price was US$6.22/kg, up US$0.38/kg year-on-year, or 6.55%. Since 2013, China's tea export value and average export price have continued to grow, with a compound annual growth rate of 7.95% and 6.28%, respectively.
