From January to August 2024, the top three products in terms of import value of livestock and poultry meat products in China were beef, pork offal and pork, with imports of US$9,005.4 million, US$1,733.4 million and US$1,357.3 million, respectively, accounting for 58.7%, 11.3% and 8.9% of the total import value of poultry meat products

From January to August, the cumulative import of meat (including offal) was 4.4 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 13.9%, and the total import value was 108.98 billion yuan, which was still in a downward state year-on-year, down 19.2%.

In 2023, Thailand exported 16.9 billion baht worth of frozen poultry products to China. This trend continued into 2024, with exports exceeding 8 billion baht in the first half of the year.
